CHASING PAYMENTS
Less to chase, and one message for the rest.
Every "I'll send it tonight" turns into a message you have to write later. ZMODE takes the deposit you set right when the client books, and you can set it to the full price. When a balance is left, you send the client an invoice or a payment link from the chat, and asking for money takes one message instead of three.

WHY IT HAPPENS
Why you end up chasing money
Very few clients plan not to pay. The money goes missing in the gap between booking and paying, and that gap is where you end up spending your evenings.
01
Pay later becomes pay never
"I'll send it after" is easy to say and easy to forget. The longer the gap between the service and the payment, the less urgent it feels to the client and the more awkward it feels to you.
02
Asking twice hurts the relationship
The first message about money is business. The second one starts to feel personal, and by the third you're weighing whether the amount is worth losing a client over.
03
Keeping track lives in your head
Who paid in cash, who sent part of it, who said Friday: it ends up spread across chats, a notebook and your memory. Every hour spent sorting it out is an hour you're not paid for.
HOW ZMODE FIXES IT
How ZMODE leaves less to collect
Most of the work happens at booking, when the client is ready and paying feels natural. For whatever is left after that, you send the bill from the chat instead of writing an awkward reminder yourself.
Paid at booking, through Stripe
As soon as the client picks a time, ZMODE asks for the deposit you set and they pay it through Stripe in the same chat. For a custom order or a class pack, you can set the deposit to the full price, so nothing is left owing at all.
Your payment rules, said up front
Tell ZMODE once which services are paid in full, which take a deposit and what's due on the day. It tells each client before they book, and when someone asks to pay on the day or split it, they hear your rule, not an awkward no from you.
An invoice for the balance
When the work is done and money is still owed, you send the client an invoice from the chat with the amount. They get a clear record of what's due, and you skip writing the message about money.
A payment link instead of a reminder
For a quick balance, send a payment link from the chat. The client taps it and pays what's owed from their phone, so the ask is one short message instead of a back and forth.
You know who's settled at booking
Each payment made at booking reaches you as a WhatsApp note with the amount, so you can see at a glance who paid in full and who will still have a balance to bill.
Available features depend on your setup, supported channels and location.
WHERE IT SHOWS UP
Where unpaid balances pile up
Chasing money is worst where the service is delivered first and paid for after, or where a package is agreed on and paid in pieces.
Art and class studios
A $20 deposit holds two wheel seats and the rest is paid on arrival. For a six week course, setting the deposit to the full price means nobody owes you halfway through.
See the pageFitness studios
The $15 intro class is paid when it's booked, so first visits never leave a balance. For a pack sold in person afterward, a payment link from the chat lets the member pay before the next class.
See the pageLearning centers and tutors
The first session's $20 deposit comes off the $55 before the family walks in. For the weekly sessions after that, you send the family an invoice from the chat, and the clearer the rule on day one, the fewer reminders you need.

The $50 deposit comes off a $240 deep clean, and the rest is due the day the crew comes. If it isn't settled at the door, a payment link from the chat covers the balance that evening.

Custom cakes are baked for one person and can't be sold to anyone else. Taking the full price at order time means a cake is never left on the shelf unpaid.

QUESTIONS
Questions about chasing payments
Can ZMODE help me collect a balance?
Yes. From the chat, you send the client an invoice or a payment link for what's still owed. You choose who gets one and for how much; ZMODE doesn't decide on its own who owes you.
Can I take the full price at booking?
Yes, where it fits your business. Set the deposit for that service to its full price, for example a custom cake or a class pack, and the client pays all of it when they book.
What about services where the price isn't known until the end?
Take a deposit that covers part of it. When the work is done and you know the total, send an invoice or a payment link from the chat for the rest.
How do clients pay?
The deposit is paid through a Stripe payment link in the same chat where they booked, on Instagram, WhatsApp or your website chat, and the money goes to your Stripe account. For a balance, they pay from the invoice or the payment link you send.
Should I send an invoice or a payment link?
Use an invoice when the client wants a record of what they paid for, like a deep clean or a month of sessions. Use a payment link when it's a quick amount and they just need a way to pay.
Does ZMODE keep track of who owes what?
It sends you a WhatsApp note for each payment made at booking. Balances paid on the day in cash or another way stay in your own records.
What if a client asks to pay later instead?
ZMODE answers with the rule you gave it. If you're happy to make exceptions for some clients, tell ZMODE as a lesson, and send them a payment link when the time comes.
